The Hearts Behind Little Owls
At Little Owls, we work very closely together and spend the majority of the day as one group. Both lead teachers are always present, approachable, and deeply familiar with every child. We're always happy to answer questions or chat about your child's development at any time.
Lauren
Founder & Lead Teacher
Lauren founded Little Owls with a vision of creating a nurturing space where every child could thrive. She leads the younger group and brings warmth, creativity, and dedication to everything she does. Her gentle approach helps children feel safe and confident as they take their first steps into the world of learning.
Kirsty
Lead Teacher
Kirsty leads the older group and brings a wonderful balance of structure and play to her teaching. With her warm personality and patient nature, she helps prepare children for the next stage of their educational journey while ensuring they have plenty of fun along the way.
Chanti
Assistant
Chanti works closely with Lauren and Kirsty, providing essential support throughout the day. Her caring nature and enthusiasm for early childhood education make her a beloved member of our team. Children are naturally drawn to her gentle, playful spirit.
How We Work
Flexible, Child-Centred Care
During more structured learning times, the children are gently divided into two groups — the older group led by Kirsty, and the younger group led by Lauren.
These groupings are flexible. At the start of the year especially, many children naturally gravitate toward a particular adult, and we honour that need for comfort, security, and connection.
The younger children often enjoy joining in with the "big-kid" learning experiences, which they absolutely love, and we happily allow this. Movement between groups is encouraged, and children are free to flow where they feel most engaged and confident.
